Filling breakfast, even the salty porridge and a lovely parking ticket from Perth Council just after 8 am! We then leave sunny Perth with Tim and stroll through the countryside with another tail wind. Great for a warm up as we are a bit stiffer this morning! Dum, dum, dum...first puncture which Dazza the mechanic repairs in record breaking time so off we go again.Lunch at Edzell, where we cobble enough pennies together for another porridge as the support vehicle has been delayed by a head wind! Much stretching required as we were about to tackle the Cairn Mount (apparently steep and short). Someone forgot to mention the hills before it though. Shirley hauled herself to the top with Dazza's encouragement. Despite Tim's best efforts however, my body gave up and I had to walk a bit. Did cycle the summit though..... However, the downhill was worth it....Then it was a race against time to get to the Aboyne Highland Games to meet the Stroke volunteers. We arrived with the race runners so nearly got stopped by the police. After haranguing the punters in the beer tent we managed to accumulate £150 and a miniature in our buckets. Worth the pain! Cold and hot baths and a slap up meal courtesy of the Raemoir Hotel - big shout out to them! Distance:125 km, Time 5 hours 45 One to go...!!!
