Just a wee bit more information about the first day as we were too tired to write more. Nearly had a catastrophe 10km in as my pedal decided it did not want to work. Dazza (Danny) the mechanic to the rescue! Lots of sore knees, thighs and backs which may have been due to the big lorries, big hills or rubbish saddle position. all things to sort for Day 2. Lovely lunch at New Galloway which led to a brighter afternoon than morning. Managed to Stroke stops: S for STRANRAER and T for THORNHILL. Manage to bully Shirley into the cold bath - or so she says!
